Dia De Los Muertos

Dia de los muertos is a three day celebration that is celebrated in Mexico and some parts of the United States to honor our dead loved ones. Celebration starts October 31 and ends on November 2. Family members go to the cemetery and gather around their loved ones graves. Food, drinks, flowers, and other decorations cover the graves. Some family member stay at the cemetery all day and all night long. This celebration started around 3000 years ago by Meso-Americans and the Aztecs to mock death. When the Spaniards arrived in Mexico around 500 years ago, they tried to make the Aztecs stop celebrating this tradition but failed. These three days are part of our Mexican tradition. In my opinion, I think all of us should go to the cemetery at least once a week and visit our loved ones, not just one time a year.
