Jacob's 9th Birthday!

My nephew Jacob turned 9 years old. His birthday is July 24th. Jacob is a very lovable kid. He helps around the house when asked. He washes my truck once a week, but sometimes he slacks off and doesn't do it. Anyway, I just wanted to share my nephew with everyone. I love him so much, Happy Birthday Jacob

Feona's 3rd Birthday!

My cat Feona turned 3 on July 22. Feona is part of my family and I love her to death. She is my companion when I feel lonely and she listens to me when I have something to say about anything.

Feona loves candy for cats. So yes, 4 times a month I have to go to Petsmart and get them for her.

When Feona came into my life, I didn't want her because I wouldn't have the time for her. I gave it a shot, and here we are 3 years later. She has been one of my best things that has ever happen to me. I love my Feona.

When I See You

My heart skips a beat

when I see you.

If only I would have the nerve

to tell you how I feel.

I would tell you that,

you are the air that I breath,

the sight of my eyes,

and the beat to my heart.

Confessing my love

could make you walk away,

and it hurts me deep inside to think

that you might leave.

You have somebody

that shares your life,

your hopes and dreams.

So I rather keep my love to myself,

and let my heart skip a beat,

when I see you.

The scars from yesterday

Everyday going home I pass thru this church. They always have this big sign with a saying of the day or week. This past week they had a sign that said, "don't start your day with the scars from yesterday." I want to express my feelings on this. Yes, it's true. Everyday is a different day. What good or bad that happened yesterday it's gone already. There is nothing you can do about it anymore. Today is a new day, start fresh, take a deep breath and breath life. Life is a gift, and we must cherish it. So if yesterday you argued with a loved one, call them up today and say you're sorry, don't go on another day feeling angry. If you were happy yesterday, then today you should be even happier. I know I am. Smile a lot, its good for the heart.

Scarface the Movie

I had never, never in my life seen Scarface until this weekend. Let me say that it's a very good movie. I like mafia and gangster movies, but never had an interest in this one, until now. This movie was reliesed in 1983, starring Al Pacino. The saying, "the world is yours,
and everything in it" could be true. Sometimes its good to dream, but be careful to dream about everything, because in the end you get it all, the good and the bad. I will defineltey get this movie for my dvd collection. One last thing about this movie, was he in love with his own sister? hmmm.

LOST

Who am I? What am I headed for?

Should I change my ways that hurt the people around me?

Was I born to make people cry?

Why do I do bad things?

What is it about me that whoever I love I loose?

Why is it that I feel lost?

At times I feel I am doing good,

but then I fall and do whats wrong.

I have many mixed feelings inside me

I feel I will explode and hurt more people.

I want peace within me. You were my peace, my princess,

but I did wrong and I lost you

I am nothing, never will.

It hurts me more knowing that you hate me

but then again, everybody does.

If only I could get you back,

but in the end I know I will hurt you again.

Who am I? my life is a complete darkness,

Please look for me,

For I am completely lost.

No bread after 3 nothing after 7

I'm not a nutritionist, or a personal trainer, but I do like to be healthy. I love food, there is no doubt about that. There are times, when I find myself in snack heaven, that I just eat and eat. Mainly once a month, if you know what I mean. I'm not thin or heavy, but I do have a beer belly! Yes, I must have my Coors light, or Tecate Light every weekend.

Going back to food. Sometimes I get asked about my diet. Well, I don't really have a diet. I get up at 5:30 a.m. Monday thru Friday and go jog at the park. I only do two laps. I must drink my green tea every morning, and for a morning snack, a banana. For lunch I have whatever I crave. From pizza, to a salad, or even a sandwich. If I have an afternoon snack, its either another banana or some kind of fruit. My only rule, no bread after 3. That includes, tortillas, pastas, any kind of bread. And the other, nothing after 7. For dinner I can eat anything, as long as it doesn't have bread, and I eat dinner before 7. That is the way I keep healthy. Now you know.

Ratatouille the Movie

This weekend I was in the mood to see a Disney movie. I browsed thru the cable and noticed Ratatouille was going to play. Its a very cute animated movie that was made in 2007 by Pixar and Disney. Through out the movie I was hungry. I love fancy restaurants and excellent cuisine. One thing got me thinking about this movie. If it were in real life, would a famous food critic accept a rat as a cook? hmmmm.

LIFE

What is it about life that makes us cry?

What is it about the heart that makes us love?

Why is it that when you are happy

there has to be something that makes it sad?

Life is full of surprises and losses.

Life is a gift that has been given to us.

Having life means love and happiness.

But why is it that we get sad?

The best thing to do in life,

is to enjoy every second of it.

For today could be the last day

that you could feel the love.

Don't get sad about not having love or happiness,

instead breathe in the life, breathe in the air.

Put the sadness aside.

For you are the life, you are the love.

Beowulf the movie

Beowulf is an animated, fantasy, action and adventure movie. It was filmed in 2007. This weekend I saw it for the first time. I loved it! The reason why I started watching it was because I love Angelina Jolie. To my surprise, she only comes out like 3 times in the movie! Anyways, it was a very good animated movie, it kept me interested. The one thing that kept me thinking was the ending. I just wonder, did the king go with her? or did he walk away? Hmmm..........

Lucy's Birthday

Happy Birthday Lucy! Lucy celebrated her birthday on Friday July 3rd but her real birthday is on 4th of July. It was hot, but the family was there for her. There were hot dogs, and hamburgers and cake!

I had a good time talking to the kids, and just laughing and eating. It was a very nice family get together. Here is a picture of Lucy with her niece Ylmar. Happy birthday Lucy!

Happy Birthday America

This is the first year that I can remember that 4th of July fell on a Saturday. It was very hot, but had a cool breeze once in a while. Somerton, Arizona put on a good show of fireworks. There were many vendors selling food and drinks. They had live entertainment. It wasn't my best 4th of July, it was just ok. One day hopefully, i can spend 4th of July in Las Vegas. I bet that would be the bomb!

Christmas in July

What is Christmas in July? I always asked myself that question. I always thought that it was just an excuse for people to go out and spend money on gifts for Christmas in December. Stores in the United States do have some sales, and people do get up at 5 a.m. in the morning to get a good deal. What for? Either you buy in July or December, by the time Christmas is over, you are already broke!

The real Christmas in July in my opinion is for people who live in the southern hemisphere. July is the coldest month of the year there. So yes, that's a very good reason for them to celebrate a second celebration.
